#1 Rule For Successful Class Environment
I personally think that a lot of rules are very, very frustrating, but I guess some of them ARE kind of necessary, or else we wouldn't learn anything at all. There are a lot of rules that are pretty essential to maintain a good environment for students to learn, especially if the students are extra noisy, irresponsible, or immature; or if the teacher is not good at controlling those students, in other words, if the teacher's too nice. I think the most efficient rule would probably be: EVERYONE SHOULD RESPECT ONE ANOTHER, and that includes the teacher, and also you respecting yourself. If a student respects his/her peers, then his/her classmates will be able to have a good time in class and be able to learn. If the student respects his/her teacher, then he/she would not interrupt the teacher, turn in work late, cheat, or talk about things not related to class, because that would be very disrespectful. If student respects him/herself too, then he/she would not dare to waste his/her time and not pay attention, because he/she already spent the money and time to come to school to learn and he/she should get the best out of it and try their best to learn something. He/she also wouldn't want to hurt themselves by doing dangerous things because they respect themselves. And the student would probably also hate to endanger his/her place in the school by not dressing according to the dress code of the school or speaking Chinese in PAS's case. So, I think respect is a great rule, because even though it doesn't seem like much, it actually covers all the rules (well, most at least) a teacher could come up with.
